Hello! My name is Kenna Wasson. I am 13 years old and a freshman at BASIS Peoria, Arizona. Although I am young, the effect of SIDS has taken a toll on me. Before I was born, my mom lost two children due to SIDS: a boy named Alexandre and a girl named Kalinda. Therefore, I had to be on a heart rate monitor for the first year of my life because my mom constantly lived in fear. As I grew up, I began to understand the pain that my mom went through and how much she suffered. My goal is that all families have a shoulder to cry on so no one has to go through the unthinkable alone.
